At The Zigzag Flow, we believe development happens through connection. We are a neurodiversity-affirming practice supporting autistic and neurodivergent children through play-based, relationship-centered therapy. Our team of OTs, SLPs, educators, & mental health professionals work together to create meaningful, joyful progress for children and families.

What You’ll Do

As a Developmental Play Partner, you will:

• Engage children in play-based, relationship-centered sessions
• Follow the child’s interests to support connection, regulation, and engagement
• Help create a sense of safety, structure, and success through joyful interaction
• Support therapists in implementing individualized developmental strategies
• Participate in Co-Flow sessions, blending creativity with developmental guidance
• Collaborate with a supportive interdisciplinary team
• Learn how to build meaningful interactions with children

What is a Co-Flow Session?

Co-Flow sessions are at the heart of our model. These sessions follow the child’s interests while gently building shared attention, engagement, and interaction. As a facilitator, you’ll use play, creativity, and attunement to support development in a way that feels natural and motivating for each child.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in:
  Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology, Education, Creative Arts Therapy, or related field
• Experience working with children is preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to learn
• Reliable, engaged, and team-oriented
• Must have reliable transportation to work in clients homes

Details

Job Type: Part-time working 10-25 hrs. per week
Location: In person (Morris County, NJ)
Schedule: Flexible (afternoon/evening and weekend availability preferred)
Pay: Starting @ $19.00/hr
